Description for Surah Al-Fatiha, Ayat 3: Urdu Translation and Tafsir
Surah Al-Fatiha, also known as “The Opening,” is the first chapter of the Quran, and Ayat 3 reads:
“الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ”
(Translation: “The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”)
In Urdu, it translates as:
“نہایت مہربان، بے حد رحم کرنے والا۔”
Tafsir in Urdu:
This verse emphasizes two key attributes of Allah:
- الرحمن (Ar-Rahman): Addresses Allah’s unlimited and comprehensive leniency, which is for all creation without qualification.
- الرحیم (Ar-Raheem): Features Allah’s particular leniency, saved for the devotees to both this world and the Great beyond.
In Urdu tafsir, researchers elaborate that these qualities show Allah’s endless sympathy and care. They underline that devotees ought to continuously recollect Allah’s benevolence in their love and day to day routines. This stanza is a sign of His leniency and pardoning, empowering Muslims to look for His favors and go to Him in the midst of hardship.
